Volunteer Camping Trip

The Norwescon camping trip is back! Join us for a weekend in the woods. We’ve reserved a group camp site at Kitsap Memorial State Park, outside of Poulsbo, for the weekend of July 26–28. Cost varies, depending on how many people attend, but typically runs $15-20 per person for the weekend.

To RSVP, or to just ask questions, email SunnyJim at sunnyjim@norwescon.org.

Convention Planning Starts Soon Send Us Your Ideas!

Do you have an idea for a panel? Let us know now as planning begins for Norwescon 47 this summer. We want to make sure our program is as engaging to our members as possible, and will gladly consider your suggestions as we work with our pros and panelists to craft our programming each year.

Please send us your ideas via our Panel Suggestion page.

Norwescon is also looking for panelists! If you are interested, let us know in detail who you are, your area of expertise and why you would be a great fit for us. Programming can’t do what it does without our fabulous panelists.

Please fill out our panelist application form to be considered for this coming year. Even if you have been a pro before, please fill out the form anyway!

Norwescon's Film Fest has Begun Accepting Submissions

Norwescon’s Speculative Film Fest will begin accepting submissions on July 1st; submissions will close on Dec 15th.

Norwescon’s Speculative Film Fest is a celebration of science fiction, fantasy, horror and other speculative fiction films. This is a juried festival with over 10 judges representing a wide range of people in the science fiction community. The festival screens about 8 hours of short films each year.

Norwescon’s Speculative Film Fest wants to embrace and foster new voices in speculative fiction, including those of BIPOC, women, and LGBTQ+ creators. We will have judges who represent these voices. BIPOC directors can submit their films to the festival at no charge.

For more details on how to submit your film, visit our submissions page.
