Safety Policy Revision Forthcoming
In response to concerns raised after the last convention, Norwescon is undertaking a revision of its policies regarding safety and public reporting of incidents which happen at the convention. Much work was done at the first meeting of the executive team a few weeks ago, and we are planning an announcement shortly of these policy revisions, which are currently in draft form. Be on the lookout for policy changes soon.
Convention Committee Meeting Dates and Locations
The Norwescon convention committee, or ConCom, is an all-volunteer group which meets on a monthly basis starting in September to plan Norwescon. All meetings are open to the public, and are the best place to volunteer, so please join us! ConCom meetings will be held in-person this year in Maxi's Ballroom at the SeaTac Doubletree Hotel. A virtual attendance option will be available and announced on the "Staff Updates" section of the website. For in-person attendees at the September meeting, a full course of vaccination against COVID-19 and a face mask must be worn at all times when not actively eating or drinking.
